XP Mode Missing Bridge in Network Settings

Recently, I noticed I lost the option to bridge my physical NICs with my XP Mode. The XP Mode Settings window is supposed to list the computer's physical connections in the Networking options. Without that it only allows for Internal or Shared (NAT). Apparently, Virtual PC relies on a filter service to bridge the virtual machines with physical connections.

Here's what I did to fix it:
  1. Open the properties of any Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Select Service then click Add.
  4. Select Microsoft
  5. Select Virtual PC Network Filter Driver then click OK.
That should have installed and enabled the Virtual PC Network Filter Driver on all Local Area Connections and Wireless Network Connections. Now Virtual PC Settings should list the network adapters to bridge with.

Good luck!
